St. Louis Defeats Boston
Thursday, October 19th, 1905
This is the time of the year when grown men are sometimes reduced to tears. This year the St. Louis Browns shed tears of joy and the Boston Beaneaters shed some sad ones, all because of a baseball game.

The Browns eliminated the Beaneaters today 5-2 at Sportsman's Park III and locked up their 8th Baseball History World Series championship, winning the series 4-2.
