Opening Night - Barrie @ North Bay

Opening night of Trents GM/Coaching career he would be up against the North Bay Battalion. He made a last minute decision on starting rookie goaltender Arturs Silovs as the team has a back to back vs London the following night.

The decision seemed to end poorly in Silovs debut to the OHL as he let in 4 goals on 6 shots in the first period, as his team went down 4-2 at the end of the first period. Ryan Sukuzi and Brandt Clarke were the goal scores in the first.

Starting the second period we seen Jet Greaves come in to take over goalie duty. This sparked up the defense as they only allowed 7 shots on net. The offense was terrible for the Colts, but they managed to get a goal out of Trey Zagrzebski with only 3 shots on net, to bring the bolts closer to tying the game up going into the third.

Colts defense continued to dominate as they allowed only 3 shots in the third period. The offense heated up as the colts not only tied the game up, but added 3 more goals to take a 7-4 victory in their first game of the season. Goals fro Ryan Suzuki to tie the game, followed by Ryan Del Monte getting the go ahead goal and the two goal lead. Brandt Clarke would put the icing on the cake as Trent Sanders opened his OHL Career with 1-0 record.
