Hunter had a no-hitter through three.

With one out in the bottom of the fourth, Burroughs broke up the no-hitter with a solo home run.

In the bottom of the sixth, Burroughs struck again, this time with a two-run homer.

After six: Texas 3 Oakland 0.

In the top of the seventh, Green put the Athletics on the board with a run-scoring double. Pinch hitter Joe Pepitone added an RBI single. Bando then put the Athletics in the lead with a two-run double.

Leading off the bottom of the seventh, Harrah tied the game with a 388 footshot to left-center.

Paul Lindblad took the mound for the Rangers in the top of the eighth. Rudi gave the Athletics the lead back with an RBI double. Green added an RBI single.

Rollie Fingers took the mound for the Athletics in the bottom of the eighth.

With a runner on first and one out, Bob Locker took the mound for the Athletics in the bottom of the ninth and immediately got Kubiak to ground into the 4-6-3.

The Athletics used 11 hits to score the come-from-behind win.
