Montreal are at home to the Boston Bruins (5-12-5). So far the teams have met once with Montreal winning 4-0 at the Bell Center.

The 1st period was uneventful except for a fight including Habs C Jeff Pilbeam. The shots were even at 9-9 and the score board still show's zero's.

Boston scores first when G Bill Wolfenbarger's clearing attempt is foiled and LW Sherman Dollard takes advantage with his 4th of the year at 10:09 of the 2nd on the PP. The second period ends with the shots 18-16 in favour of Boston with the Bruins leading 1-0.

Montreal could not get the equalizer in the 3rd as they were out shot by the Bruins 27-25 in the game.

Boston LW Sherman Dollard was named the 1st star with the only goal of the game. The 21 year old now has 4 goals and 6 points with 6 PIMs and a -11 rating. Last season Dollard had 16 goals and 36 points in 59 games with the Bruins.

New Jersey Devils RW Magnus Sundstrom had 3 goals in a 4-2 win over the Islanders. The 31 year old now has 8 goals and 15 points with 10 PIMs and a +8 rating. Last season Sundstrom had 17 goals and 56 points in 70 games for the Devils.
