Walkers news: April 26 -- Des Moines 4, St. Louis 1

Record: 13-6, 1st, 2.5 GA Des Moines
St. Louis starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks had one bad inning, but the Des Moines Harvesters did enough damage to help them pull off a 4-1 win at LaBlatt Park.
With the win, Des Moines took the final two games of its three-game series against St. Louis.
An Adeiny Hechavarria RBI single off Des Moines starting pitcher in the fourth inning staked the Walkers to a 1-0 lead.
But the Harvesters busted loose in a big way against Hendricks in the fifth.
They opened the inning with three straight hits -- Nicky Lopez led off with a single, a Reese McGuire moved him to third and pinch-hitter Austin Hayes also doubled, putting Des Moines in front 2-1 -- Kahlil Lee then hit a two-run homer with one out, expanding that advantage to 4-1.
Berrios was impressive, limiting the Walkers to one run on four hits in five innings. He struck out four and walked two.
Four relievers -- Bryan Garcia (2.0 IP), Gabriel Moya (1.0) and Jandel Gustave (1.0) -- combined on four shutout innings to close out the win, with Gustave earning his second save in as many night.
Hendricks got the first out of the seventh inning before being relieved.

He allowed the four runs on eight hits.
