The celebrations have begun. The streets are alive with people and the confetti is flying. The Chicago Cubs have done it -- they won the 1909 World Series. The Cubs defeated the New York Highlanders 3-2 at West Side Park II to take the title. Chicago took the series 4-1 for their 4th Baseball History championship.

After the game, the victorious Cubs manager told the secret to his team's great season and World Series triumph, "The harder you work, the luckier you get," he said. "As far as I'm concerned, I'm the luckiest guy in the world today."
