Missouri State League- May 2019 Recap
The Columbia Tigers currently lead the MSL and are 3 games ahead of both the St. Louis Perfectos and the Jefferson City Capitals. Columbia has taken advantage of playing 16 of their first 22 games at home, going 12-4 in those games. On the other hand, they are just 3-3 on the road, which could come back to haunt them if the race tightens up in June. Commissioner goroyals decision to only have 20 on the active roster is really causing havoc, as most of the MSL teams have still elected to have 12 pitchers on the roster, leaving just 8 position players. It seems that every team has at least a couple 2 way players, but at some point, you have to think injuries and fatigue will become a factor.
