Top of the First:

Bob Ellis pops out to center. Jim Jaeger grounds out to short. Tom Boyles draws a walk. He steals 2nd. Joe Taylor takes a 3-2 pitch for ball 4. Eric Daniels grounds out to 1st, unassisted!

Bottom of the First:

A.J. Lee walks on 4 pitches. Enrique Ramos flies out to the warning track in center. Glenn Snowden grounds into a 5-4-3 double play.... No, 3rd is not a lucky spot for him....

Top of the Third:
With 1 out, Bob Ellis draws a walk and steals 2nd. With 2 outs, Tom Boyles hits a home run down the left field line... 2 to 0, Bears. Only the second home run allowed by P Barry Phillips this season.

Meanwhile, we have once again sent 9 batters to the plate through 3 innings...

Bottom of the Fourth:

A.J. Lee grounds our first hit of the game to right and then steals 2nd and goes to 3rd on a ground out. Glenn Snowden lines one to right, but Tom Boyles makes a diving catch, though Lee tags up and trots home. 2 to 1, Bears. That is an RBI by Snowden!!! His first in three weeks to the day!

Top of the Fifth:
Carroll Morse draws a walk, the fourth issued by P Barry Phillips. P Jose Rosa lays down a bunt and C Tim Higbee fields it and goes for the force at 2nd, but his throw is late... But the next three make outs, with Tom Boyles striking out to end the inning!

Bottom of the Seventh:
Tim Higbee loops a hit to right center. Denny Peters grounds into a force at 2nd, 4-6. Jeff Galka takes a 3-2 pitch for ball 4. Kim Springer grounds one back to the mound, but P Jose Rosa boots it and the bases are loaded with 1 out for Jerry Suazo, who is 1 for his last 27, but that 1 was a home run. He lines a hit to right and Peters scores! Tie Game: 2 to 2! PH Juan Rojas (25-S) strikes out looking on 3 pitches... A.J. Lee grounds out to 3rd...

Top of the Eighth:

New Pitcher: Rich Larkin (24-R). Johnnie Graham leads off with a double to center... We walk Colin Woodford intentionally.... Carroll Morse bunts the runners up. They let P Jose Rosa bat and he pops out to 1st. Bob Ellis takes a 3-2 pitch for ball 4 to load the bases up with 2 outs... Jim Jaeger flies out to left!!

Top of the Ninth:
3-4-5 hitters up for them. Doesn't it seem like the 3-4-5 hitters are always up in the 9th for the other team? Tom Boyles strikes out on 3 pitches! Joe Taylor lines a hit to right. Eric Daniels grounds into a force at 2nd, 6-4. 3B Rick Hansen (25-R), a rookie who is 1 for 4 in his career, flies out to left!

Bottom of the Ninth:
P Jose Rosa is at 110 pitches. Jeff Galka grounds out to 3rd... Kim Springer pops out a mile high and about six feet in front of the the plate, but C Joe Taylor drops the ball! Jerry Suazo pops out to short... PH Greg Unser (28-R) is sent up to strike out, but he does not get the chance, because Springer gets thrown out trying to steal....
