Ned Hanlon sass, and my response to it
If Ned Hanlon thinks he can tell Providence he won't be back after less than one season of professional ball-playing since being drafted, seeing as the 1880 season isn't over yet, he's thinking wrongly here. He doesn't have enough time served to be able to dictate to us that he won't play for us again. I went into the editor and changed his contract from a one-year contract to a six-year contract for him here, and also added a no-trade clause to his profile, so he'll be sticking with us for a while yet, like it or not, at least until further notice.
Just because we are bad at the current time, he doesn't have the right to say that he won't be back just yet, with only 144 days of professional service under his belt, whether in the major leagues or on the reserve roster. I won't put up with such insolence, to be sure.
