Lost - 3 to 2

We had 6 hits and made no errors
Los Angeles had 5 hits and made no errors

I took over a team that was not too bad at scoring runs, but could not keep anyone else from scoring, but so far they look just like every team I have ever managed and have been pretty good at stopping the other team, but cannot score themselves.... I am beginning to think that it does not matter what I do and the results are predestined....

Bobby Johnson (L 0-1), in his Major League debut, went 8 innings (CG), allowed 3 runs, 5 hits, 3 walks, 1 HB and struck out 4. 111 pitches.

Hal Gleason went 6.1 innings, gave us 2 runs, 5 hits, 3 walks and struck out 2. At bat, he drew a walk.
RHP Glenn Carroll (W 1-0) faced 2 batters and got them both out with 1 strikeout.
RHP Hal Ockey (SV 1) pitched a scoreless 9th and gave us 1 hit and 1 walk.

3B Fernando Mexicano had 2 hits and scored a run. PH Doug Dietz had a hit.

The Angels announced that P Hal Gleason had tendinitis in his shoulder and should be fine in about 5 days. RF Bruce Lundvall had a bruised thigh that would bother him for a few days.
