I set up a historical league, then added a team, and moved all the teams into one division. I don't know for sure what I'm going to do with contracted teams. The issue is less the contracted teams and more the Chicago White Stockings who take 1872 and 1873 off and then return the following season. I haven't gone this in depth in creating my own league before. Am I missing an issue with just deleting a team?
