Paris at St. Michel

After closing out June on a nine game tear the Artists arrive in St. Michel to take on the last place Nobels.

Game 1
SP John Huchet, after a brief hiccup in his last start, bears down on the Nobel bats and get rewarded with his 3rd win as an Artist (11-4 overall). Paris win it 5-1. Catcher J. Girard, not known for a canon behind the plate, nails both would be base runners while the Nobels boot the ball 3 times in the field.

Game 2
Five runs in the 8th and 9th give the Artists a nice lead that they almost coughed up thanks to some casual relief 'work' in the bottom of the inning. Masson couldn't get anyone out and was lifted after a single and a walk. On comes super closer Gallant and he promptly delivers one in the zone of Elizondo who crushes his first homer of the year in a pinch hit role. Gallant settled down and retired the next three affording DeRooj the win (11-4).

Game 3
The streak has reached eleven in a row. It's Corronado (11-3) vs. Giraud (2-8). On paper it looks like all Paris. The old saying being that the game is not won on paper but on the field, holds true one more time. It's Giraud tossing 120 pitches and getting the key outs when he needs them. Combined with de Rooj's sub standard effort, the Nobels cruise to an easy 5-1 win. Up and coming hitting star Bert Kreuger made his presence known to the Artists going 3 for 4 with a HR.
