Walkers news: May 30 -- Madison 6, St. Louis 4

Record: 27-22, 2nd (Tied/w. Cedar Rapids), 6 GB Des Moines
Madison cranked three home runs off St. Louis starting pitcher in the bottom of the second inning, helping propel the Muskies to a 6-4 victory at Comiskey Park.
With the win, the Muskies and River Walkers snapped their four-game series.
Corey Dickerson and Chad Pinder opened the second with back-to-back homers, wiping out an early 1-0 Walkers lead.
After a two-out single from Nick Senzel, Kevin Kiermaier also joined the home run parade with a 425-foot shot to make it 4-1.
Senzel would add a fourth home run for the Muskies, this one a two-run shot off reliever Phil Maton, in the seventh inning extending the lead to 6-1.
A three-run top of the eighth would draw St. Louis back to within 6-4.
But Tyler Webb pitched around a two-out double by Albert Almora, getting Andrew Benintendi to ground out to end the game.
Madison starting pitcher Lucas Gilbert got quite the workout. He pitched seven innings, allowing four runs on six hits. He struck out eight and walked three and tossed a mind-boggling in this day-and-age 148 pitches.
Webb kept St. Louis scoreless in the final two innings for his second save.
