The Mick now has 7 AL MVP awards in the last 9 seasons. The Tigers have finished 1st in the AL in five of those 7 MVP seasons, and won two World Series titles. They have him for one more season guaranteed and a player option on 1939. Will he go out a champion? Whatever happens he's gonna make a sweet killing in free agency. He's "only" making $20,000 per year right now. He might make $50,000 in free agency. We shall see.
