Trevor Bauer and the St. Louis bullpen combined on a shutout as the River Walkers down Milwaukee 6-0 at Busch Stadium.
Bauer worked the first seven innings, allowing just two hits while striking out 10 and walking two.
John Curtiss handled the eighth inning without giving up a run. Josh Lindgren did the same in the ninth to finish it off.
Albert Almora scored the only run the Walkers would need in the third, when he led off with double and scored on a Rhys Hoskins sacrifice fly off Keg Lifters Daniel Mengden.
Almora would hit three doubles in the game.
The first major league homer from Will Benson in the fourth inning, made it two.
St. Louis broke it open with a four-run seventh. Tucker Barnhart drove in the first two runs with a bases-loaded single. Jin-hwan Chung and Benson also had run-scoring single.
