Walkers news: June 6 -- St. Louis 2, Cincinnati 1, 12 innings

Bo Bichette singled with two outs in the bottom of the 12th inning, scoring Adeiny Hechvarria with the game-winning run in a 2-1 River Walkers win over Cincinnati at Busch Stadium (1997).
Tucker Barnhart had opened the ninth with a walk from Skyliners pitcher Chaz Roe.
A wild pitch moved Hechavarria to second with one out.
A walk to Christian Arroya followed by a strike out of Ender Inciarte left runners at first and third with two outs.
But Bichette came through with a single to score Hechavarria and give the River Walkers a three-game sweep.
Making his first start since August of 2019, when a torn rotator cuff sidelined him for more than an year and eight months, Jacob deGrom didn't allow a hit until Ender Inciate singled with two outs in the sixth.
He ended up scoring, after he stole second and scored on a Bichette single.
The Skyliners tied it in the eighth when Brandon Drury reached on catcher's interference while batting against Walkers starting pitcher Aaron Nola.
Dee Gordon, who ran for Drury, moved to second on a Khrys Davis fly out.
Dayton took the mound and walked Travis Swaggerty.
John Curtiss then took over and allowed a single to Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to tie it a 1-1.
It would be five more innings until Hechavarria scored the game-winning run.
Nola pitched 7.2 strong innings for the Walkers, allowing one run on four hits. He struck out six and walked none.
Five relievers followed Hendricks to the mound.
Bobby Poyner kept the Skyliners off the board in the eighth and ninth innings.
Phil Maton got the final two outs of the 11th inning and handled a scoreless 12th for his second win of the season.
deGrom handled six innings, giving up one run on two hits. He struck out three and walked one.
