The Rays lost 103 games last year and made two top 10 picks. The team has the pieces for a playoff run, they were just mismanaged last year.

Team has zero long term contracts, so despite small budget, plenty of available funds. Team is young and ready for a run of success.
Los Angeles Angels (25-50), 4th in NL West
Angels were the Wild Card winner in 2027 but this year they have flopped badly. With their giant budget and $70m coming off the books after this season, may be a good chance to capitalize on that by getting a great draft pick and yet still being competitive next year.
