New York Islanders (10-5-4) at Montreal Canadiens 16-5-1)

Montreal stay home at the Bell Center to face the Islanders, it is the 1st meeting of the season for the two clubs. Montreal lead the East with a 1 point lead on Boston, but Montreal has played one less game. Meanwhile Columbus is 5 back with 2 games in hand. Montreal's PP struggles continue, they are ranked 26th with a 9.3% success rate. Montreal is 3rd on the PK with a 90.9% kill rate.

LD Lance Lambright became an assistant captain to start this season, replacing the retired Zach Berry. The 29 year old from Des Moines, IA is a defensive defenseman that the scouts say have tremendous strength. Usually playing on the 1st pairing, he plays a stay at home defensive style of play.
