I apologize if this has already been covered, I've poked around the board but been unable to find a search feature or this topic.

My questions are about creating a new player for the game.
I know I can create a player from the league edit screen, but I want to know more details.

I have tried a few times but am having troubles and the player I made disappears. I think maybe I am editing his age to be too young, or maybe he is too young to be a free agent but has no team so he's erased, I don't know.

Is there a minimum age limit a player can be?
How do I make sure he is included in the entry draft and the scouting reports?
Do I need to assign him to a minor team or development program or something?
Is there a specific date he needs to be created like how league rules can only be changed on July 1st?
