Due to yesterday's rainout, the Colt .45s will face the Mets in a Tuesday double header in New York today.

In the top of the third, Larker put the Colt .45s back in front with a two-run double.

In the bottom of the fifth, Neal scored on a wild pitch. Thomas then tied the game with an RBI double. Hickman brought Thomas home with a single to give the Mets their first lead of the game.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Mets loaded the bases with two out. Mantilla flew out to left to end the inning.

Clem Labine took the mound for the Mets in the top of the eighth.

Aftera leadoff single in the bottom of the eighth, Bobby Shantz took the mound for the Colt .45s. The Mets loaded the bases with one out. Shantz then struck out Neal and Mantilla to get outof the inning.

In the top of the ninth, with runners on the corners, Amalfitano lined to short to end the game.

The Mets won despite committing three errors.

Final score: New York 4 Houston 3.

Bobby Shantz took the mound for the Colt .45s in the bottom of the sixth.

With one out in the bottom of the eighth, Jim Umbricht took the mound for the Colt .45s.

With the tying run at second in the bottom of the ninth, Chacon grounded to third to end the game.
