I would love this, but could see how difficult it could become. Example being keeping Minnesota North Stars what would happen with the 2000 expansion.
Now this could in theory open up massive possibilities like choosing the expansion teams like No Florida but instead Colorado gets an Expansion team in 93 and Quebec doesn't move or better yet maybe Quebec moves somewhere different.
As awesome as this would be probably pretty difficult to actually implement.
