After I start the game, I use the Continue Game function to load my save (I usually only have one save going at a time). It would load a date (in game) that was not consistent with where I was when I last saved the game.
Granted, I'm playing on a tablet and not my phone, but still an Android.

When you start a game, simulate a bit, then do "Action" -> "Save Game" and then go to the main screen and "Load Game", does the date on that screen is the one you are that moment?
