COMETS, EAGLES TIED FOR SECOND DIVISION LEAD
In the NIRL Second Division Sunday afternoon West Chester and Dutton remained tied for the top spot... they both whipped also-rans... the Comets defeated winless Theodore 5-2, while the Eagles were getting past the Joliet Green Giants by the same score 5-2... Kinston knocked Jackson out of first place with 6-5 victory... the Firebirds and Jackalopes are just a game back of the co-leaders.
