Austin Hayes had his second two home-run game of the series and Dallas Keuchel and a pair of relievers combined on Des Moines' second shutout of the series as the Harvesters defeated St. Louis 6-0 at LaBlatt Park to take three of four games in a series between the top two teams in the National League South Division.
Hayes struck for the first time when he led off the bottom of the second inning with a solo homer off St. Louis starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks.
The second homer from Hayes was a dagger, a three-run shot off Hendricks in the fifth inning that made it 5-0.
Keuchel was impressive, with 7.1 shutout innings during which he allowed five hits while striking out five and walking three.
Rory Stevens got the final two outs of the eighth inning.
The ninth belonged to Matt Festa, who gave up a pair of hits but not a run as the Harvesters closed out their victory.
