What I came up with:

168 games:
42 Interleague games (7 teams x 6 games 3H/3A) AL west year 1, AL East year 2
Or 6 teams x 6 games, skipping one team each year in interleague.

42 Conferences games (7 teams X 6 games 3H/3A)
84 League Game (6 teams X 14 games 7H/7A)


This is the only way I can see to attempt this. It will still be difficult since each team is going to either group of games will have a conference or interleague game in them.

Let me know if the extra games will be a problem.

If nothing else, I can have interleague just play 6 of the 7 teams in the AL East and just skip one team each year.
Couldn't you just have each team play 13 against each division team? You have 6H/7A or 7H/6A in that case, but we have division rivals playing odd numbers of games in MLB right now and no one seems to mind. That would bring you down by six games to the desired 162.
