The back-and-forth season came to a close in Waffletown with an 8-0 victory over Shawinigan to hopefully set the tone for the next season in the Bronze league. If it weren't for the dismal stretch in May and June (18-36), Waffletown might have fared better in the race for a post season birth and a promotion to Silver league.

Team highlights:

-on the batting side, the team set season records for batting average (.272), at bats (5744), hits (1564), doubles (363) and on base percentage (.329)

- for pitching, the staff set season records for ERA (4.25), runs allowed (721), earned runs allowed (683) and home runs allowed (138). Management acknowledges the biggest hole that needs to be filled for the upcoming season is the bullpen, which ranked a lowly 15th in the conference in ERA this season.

-defensively the team set season records for assists (1703), total chances (6125), double plays (157), fielding percentage (.987) and errors (78)

Streaks:

-newcomer, Cecil Travis, set a new team scoring streak of 7 games; and Heinie Manush set a team RBI record of 7 games as well.

-on the pitching side, Tex Carleton had one of the streakiest seasons ever, as he set team records for winning streak (6 games) and losing streak (7 games). Hugh Casey set a new team record for saves streak with 9.

Individual performances:

-Cecil Travis settled into the lead-off role quite nicely, finishing the year with a solid .324 average. On the defensive side, he was shifted from short-stop to second base midway through the final month to train up at that position. Management believes he will be a stronger asset at second once he is fully trained.

-Latest addition, Ernie Lombardi, took no time at all to settle into the clean-up role. In his brief 21 game with the team, he managed to hit 3 home runs and drive in 20 to go along with his .354 average.

-In the field, Peanuts Lowrey continued to showcase his defensive prowess in center-field, leading the league in zone rating (+16); and racking up 13 assists.
