If you are just using the main TBCB2 DB, you won't have these groups. Mike creates them because in his uni he runs a group of pros (Main) and guys that haven't met the standards of his elite group (Club). You only need to create a club level if you are planning to have levels of acheivement within your uni.
To answer your other question, Group status is shown within the weight class, i.e. Middleweights.
