A bit of both I think. Cards are more expensive, so you need PP on hand to make a deal, just in case. Also, the way that many, many live bronzes and silvers are just unavailable on the market has me think that there has to be a flock of hawks that linger on the auction house all day and look for collections-related low-tier cards that they can snatch up for 35 PP, then immediately relist them for 1,000.
I still haven't completed the sophomores mission because I can't get any of the low-tier cards. I mean, I *do* have the required amount of cards, but that includes Juan Soto for me, and I don't know whether I want to be married to him forever…
