Tony Sierra swings at a 1-2 pitch and doubles to center. Chris Hagerty grounds out to 1st, unassisted, and Sierra moves over to 3rd. Steve DeMuro flies out to right and Sierra scores. 1 to 0, Eagles. Jim Bakutis grounds out to 1st, unassisted.
Bottom of the Third:
Three straight hits to start the inning by P Adrian Oliver, Tony Sierra and Chris Hagerty load the bases up with no outs. Steve DeMuro walks to force in a run... 2 to 0, Eagles. The Bullpen is alerted. Of course, what would the inning be without a wild pitch to score a runner? 3 to 0, Eagles. Jim Bakutis flies out to center and we finally have an out, but another run trots home. 4 to 0, Eagles. Qian Duan strikes out. Dan Kaczmarek flies out to right.
Top of the Fifth:
With 2 outs, Rollie Ferree gets his 1st Major League hit, and the second of the game for us, with a double to left. But Tony Casarez takes a 3-2 pitch for strike three.
Top of the Seventh:
Dave Benya leads off with a hit to right and P Adrian Oliver is hurt and has to leave the game. New Pitcher: Joe Esquivel (35-L), who made the All-Star team last year with Seattle. With 2 outs, Woody Griesbach draws a walk and Rollie Ferree lines a hit to right and Benya scores. 4 to 1, Eagles.
