Tinker doubled in the bottom of the second to extend his hit streak to 14 games.

Schulte singled in the bottom of the third to extend his hit streak to 12 games. Steinfeldt then doubled to score a pair and bring his RBI total on the season to 25. Tinker then added an RBI double of his own.

After three: Chicago 3 Brooklyn 0.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Cubs had runners at second and third. Pfiester singled to bring home one but Lumley threw Hofman outat home. However, Ritter was injured in the collision at home and had to leave the game. He was replaced by Bill Bergen. The Cubs would go on to load the bases with one out. Chance then beat out the 6-4-3 to score Pfiester from third.

After six: Chicago 5 Brooklyn 0.

Jim Pastorius took the mound for the Superbas in the bottom of the eighth. Evers would pick up an RBI, beating out a 5-4-3 with runners at the corners to score Hofman. The Cubs went on to load the bases with one out. Schulte added a two RBI single.

Lumley prevented the shutout with an RBI double in the top of the ninth.

Final score: Chicago 8 Brooklyn 1.
