This still happens with 20.5.47.
My system is a brand new high powered Dell desktop with lots of memory and a dedicated graphics card.

Baseball card can be created successfully from the player page.
But when you go to team home page, baseball card tab and then try to create one, the game immediately exits (with no indication of any error). All changes made since last save are lost. When you restart the game, the card you tried to create has in fact been created.

The big deal here is that you lose all your changes since the last save when you do this. That can be very annoying if you've done a lot. (Yes, I try to remember never to use that way to create cards anymore. Alas, I'm old and sometimes forget.)
