In the top of the first, Mejias hit a two out two run homer.

In the top of the second, Woodeshick got a two out RBI single.

In thebottom of the second, Savage put the Phillies on the board with an RBI double. Amaro followed with an RBI single.

In the bottom of the third, Callison put the Phillies in the lead with a three run homer.

After three: Philadelphia 5 Houston 3.

In the top of the fifth, a Mejias RBI single cut the deficit to one. Amalfitano hit a two out two run triple to put the Colt .45s back in the lead.

In the bottom of the fifth, Dalrymple tied the game with an RBI single. With runners at first and second and nobody out, Dave Giusti took the mound for the Colt .45s. A walk loaded the bases with one out. Pinch hitter Billy Klaus put the Phillies back in the lead with a run-scoring single. Taylor grounded into the 6-2 for the second out. Gonzalez then flew to left to end the inning.

Don Ferrarese took the mound for the Phillies in the top of the sixth.

After six: Philadelphia 7 Houston 6.

Dean Stone took the mound for the Colt .45s in the bottom of the eighth.

Frank Sullivan took the mound for the Phillies in the top of the ninth. The Colt .45s loaded the bases with one out. Mejias hit a fly ball to right for the second out. Ernie Fazio taggedup and headed home to tie the game. Callison threw the ball home. Dalrymple applied the tag....
