Walkers news: May 1 -- Quad City 4, St. Louis 3, 11 innings, Game 2

Record: 11-13, 4th, 3.5 GB Quad City
Justin Turner chased home Blake Rutherford with the game-winning run with a two-out single off Omar Garcia to help give Quad City a 4-3 win in 11 innings over St. Louis in the second game of a doubleheader at Busch Stadium (1997).
Rutherford had led off the inning with a double off the River Walkers' Jacob Lindgren.
Garcia then replaced Lindgren and struck out the next two batters -- Rutherford stole second during this sequence -- before issuing an intentional walk to Derek Fisher.
Turner than laced a 2-0 pitch between the hole between shortstop and third base allowing Rutheford to score.
Down 2-1, Quad City got a two-run homer from Turner in the top of the ninth off Reyes Moronta to take a brief 3-2 lead.
St. Louis got one of those runs back in the bottom of the inning, Ender Inciarte singled, stole second and scored on an Albert Almora single, to force the game into extra innings.
Quad City used seven pitchers in the 11 innings. Starter Lucas Giolito left in the third inning with an undisclosed injury.
Jesse Hahn, who tossed a scoreless 10th, earned his second win.

Matt Festa kept St. Louis scoreless in the 11th for his first save.
The Walkers got a solid start from Kyle Hendricks, who gave up one run on three hits in seven innings. He struck out eight and walked two.
