However, I will say it is well done and fun. I just thought I'd put that out there. I don't know how much longer I'll do it, but I promised Markus I would give it a shot and the mode, although I have serious moral issues with the model, is fun and engrossing. Even without spending money, you can play and have fun. Right now my free team is something like 67-46 in a league called Eta Phi.

I'm headed to Pullman, WA for some meetings and it's a good way to kill hotel room / airplane time....

Have a good day.
I had a ton of fun the first week, with no cash shop. Enjoyed building up my team and checked the sims and auctions religiously. Then the shop opened, I profited massively by selling a couple diamonds and using those points to buy a ton of packs. Lost in my leagues WS to a stacked team.

I stopped having fun and caring pretty quick in week 2. I have a wildcard team, but a few teams in my league are stacked with perfects + diamonds to the point of absurdity. Maybe I'll pull off a massive upset it the playoffs, if i can beat a full perfect rotation, but it's highly unlikely. Now, I log in once a day and open a pack. When it's not gold or higher, it's useless to me. I haven't made a change to my team all week.

I have major issues with the predatory business model, but as a free to play player, it's the power curve that ruined it for me. Even free players get way too strong too fast with a little effort. Players need to age or something because, right now, the game gets stagnant very fast.
