Naofumi Ohayashi was activated and placed in the starting lineup. But this is going to pose some issues with the active roster. I am not sure what to do with all these guys that deserve to be here. Krall wasn't supposed to last that long, but now he is my #5 man and doing well. Pearl is just about back, Shepherd will be back after a few AAA starts, Rubio could come back at any moment... then what?

Other/Roster News:
Our second round pick Cristian Reyes is off to a red-hot start in SS-A ball hitting .545-3-5 in his first 4 games.

GM Notes:
We are playing well and have took the lead in our division. I am sold that we are going to win this division yet, but if we can continue to pitch the way we have been we will be in good shape. And with Pearl and Shepherd coming of the DL soon it will make the pitching staff deeper, this will also be quite interesting to see who I have to send down, cut, etc. I really don't know right now.

Part of me is ready to send down Tim Meyers and go with a different closer. He is 10 for 12 in save opportunities, which I can live with, but he is also 0-4 with a 4.81 ERA. However the opponents are hitting .296 against him... so I will have to watch this because I need a closer to close games out even if they aren't save opportunities.

This offense has been very well rounded this season as we are #4 in HR's, #5 in steals and tops in on base percentage in the Delaware Conference. I am not sure we have had an offense this good around here. I wish I could sign all these guys to stay for 5 more seasons, but I know that won't be possible. We have is speed and power all through the lineup and a good mix of lefty and righty bats. This team is going to be one of those teams that other teams aren't going to want to pitch too if we can keep it up.

In 6-days Robert Shepherd will return to the field. Yes it will be in AAA, but he will be back and that is getting me excited. If he can return to his magical form from last season our pitching starting staff will end up being quite tough. Not to mention if Ji and Robertson find their groove. Shepherd took a little hit while he was out, but nothing that should make a huge difference. I am curious to see how many AAA starts he will need to earn his way back up... He will be back before the all-star break. The important thing to note is the break falls after only 72 games. We will have him for more than half the season. That should be a huge boost!

I don't know if we really are this good or just going through a hot streak. But I have to say I am having fun here in Chadds Ford and I am going to enjoy it while it lasts (hopefully through the title game, but I am not holding my breath).
