In the top of the first, Theobald scored on a Briggs groundout to second.

Burroughs led off the bottom of the second with a 390 foot game-tying shot to left.

After three: Milwaukee 1 Texas 1.

In the top of the fourth, Lahoud put the Brewers back in front with a solo home run.

In the top of the fifth, Stanhouse struck out the side.

After six: Milwaukee 2 Texas 1.

In the top of the eighth, after the leadoff man reachedon an error, Paul Lindblad took the mound for the Rangers and kept the runner from scoring.

Ken Sanders took the mound for the Brewers in the bottom of the eighth.

In the bottom of the ninth, with a runner on first and one out, Frank Linzy took the mound for the Brewers. The Rangers went on to load the bases with one out. A wild pitch brought Kubiak home with the tying run. Two batters later, bases were loaded with two out. But Mincher grounded to short to send the game into extra innings.

After nine: Milwaukee 2 Texas 2.

Horacio Pina took the mound for the Rangers in the top of the tenth. Auerbach brought the go-ahead run home with a sacrifice fly.

Skip Lockwood took the mound for the Brewers in the bottom of the tenth. With runners at second and third with two down, Maddox struck out to end the game.

The Rangers had 11 hits in the loss.

Final score: Milwaukee 3 Texas 2 10 innings.
