We Are the Champions!
Cleveland has won the Bronze League Championship, 4 games to 2 against Shreveport, capping off a great season and a great run.
Michael Brantley was named MVP of the World Series.
Of course this means Cleveland is now moving up to Silver. A couple of rating notes:
Trevor Bauer dropped to an 89 from a 92, immediately losing much of his bought value from last season — but we won a World Series, including a game 3 win by Bauer, so who cares?
Shane Bieber has dropped to a 78 (despite throwing an IRL complete game shutout with 15 Ks.)
Brad Hand is back up to a 71
Carlos Santana is down to a 73
The club had 4,996 PP at the end of the season. In addition to Mel Harder, who was added during the Playoff run and pitched in 4 games in relief, the club has now signed lefty 1970 starter Sam McDowell (88), a pitcher with great Stuff and a really nasty Curveball.
