Walkers news: May 31 -- St. Louis 9, Madison 4

Record: 31-16, 1st, 3.5 GA Springfield
Down 3-1, St. Louis tied it with two runs in the third inning and took the lead for good with one in the fourth as it downed Madison 9-4 at Comiskey Park (1969).
The victory gave the River Walkers a series win by taking two of the three games against the Muskies.
The Walkers' Bo Bichette led off the game with a homer off Madison starter Nick Lewis.
That lead, however, was short lived as the Muskies put up three runs against St. Louis starter Argenis Batista in the bottom of the second.
Joe Gray Jr. drove in Jordan Myrow, who had doubled with one out, with an RBI single.
Nick Lewis chased home Gray with a two-out triple.
The score grew to 3-1 after Josh Rivera followed Lewis' triple with a double.
St. Louis roared back against Lewis in the third.
Bo Bichette drew a one-out walk and scored when Carlos Vidal followed with a triple.
Andrew Benintendi's single scored Bichette to tie it.
An inning later, the Walkers seized the lead.
Jared Thomas led off with a double and scored when Batista connected on a two-out single.
It was pretty much all Walkers from there.
They scored three runs in the fifth/
Jared Thomas drew a bases-loaded walk, Romy Gonzalez and Edmond Americaan both drove in runs with singles.
Vidal made it 9-3 with a solo homer off Andrew Ryan in the eighth.
Batista shook off that one bad inning to make a strong start, allowing four runs on eight hits in 6.1 innings. He struck out seven and walked none.
John Curtiss finished off the seventh and worked a scoreless eighth.
The ninth belonged to Nick Lodolo and he didn't allow the Muskies to score.
