End of 1973 - .238/.333/.454 37 HR 96 RBI

Dave improved on all three basic average metrics over his virtual 1972 season, although it resulted in a bit less production than last year.

Note the very respectable walks (84) and stolen bases (23).

His L/R splits were weird:
  • vs RHP: .242/.339/.424
  • vs LHP: .229/.320./521

You'd expect the much higher SLG against lefties, but it coming paired with lower BA and OBP is odd.

Huge slump in July & August (roughly .200/.300./350) kept his overall production way down. He only had 9 homers and 26 RBI in that span. The rest of the months he was closer to .250/.350/.550.

Here are his IRL stats for 1973. They were bizarre:

He hit lots of homers, and little else. But compared with the sim, his virtual season outperformed by +13 HR and +41 RBI.
