April 2 - LF Bart Stombaugh (27-L) of Dallas had 5 hits and scored a run at home versus Houston. The Eagles won, 4 to 3.
April 3 - Sergio Peralta (26-R) of Boston pitched a 5 hit shutout at home versus Montreal. He walked 3 and struck out 5. The Braves won, 1 to 0.
April 3 - Manny Aponte (29-R) of Brooklyn pitched a 5 hit shutout at Baltimore. He walked 2 and struck out no one. The Dodgers won, 2 to 0.
April 5 - Tony Gonzales (26-L) of San Antonio pitched a 5 hit shutout at Seattle. He walked 1 and struck out 10. At bat, he had 2 hits. The Missions won, 3 to 0.

April 8 - Doug Etkin (29-R) of St. Louis pitched a 4 hit shutout at home versus Washington. He walked 2 and struck out 7. The Cardinals won, 4 to 0.
