Meet the Beavers!

Opening Day starters are highlighted in blue.

Editor's Note: Since we are now in the 21st century, pitching speeds will be reported as they are in game and not 5 MPH slower. I did some research and one reason pitch speeds are generally higher today than they seemed to be 30 years ago is that they are now measured at release, when they were measured at the plate back in the day. We will report the low end of the velocity spread. Also, since pitch ratings are turned off, I cannot report on the quality of the pitches, only what the repertoire is.

Acquired in a trade with Seattle in January. 94 MPH over-the-top fastball with a curve, changeup, splitter and circle change. Not a good move to first. Decent bunter. Average fielder. Was the 12th pick in this year's B League Draft. We wanted to take him with our first pick, the 2nd of the draft, but could not pass up Fernando Mexicano. Was 2-1 with a 5.85 ERA this Spring, but his numbers were not that bad. He struck out 19 in 20 IP.
