The Oakland Athletics bested the California Angels, 11-1, at Anaheim Stadium. Dave Kingman was named player of the game. He was 2-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Oakland is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Kingman had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the fifth inning, when he hit a 2-run double. The Athletics went on to win.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Kingman.
