- To Dallas: Pavel Datsyuk, Zach Nastasiuk, 2nd and 7th (2016)
This one hurt. But Datsyuk starts the season hurt and I didn't like my center depth. This gives me a franchise center for a long time
Trade with Tampa
- To Detroit: Victor Hedman
- To Tampa: Johan Franzen, 1st and 2nd (2018), 2nd and 3rd (2017)
Addresses one of Detroit's biggest issues on defense. Hedman is young enough to be a long term cornerstone.
Trade with Arizona
- To Detroit: 2nd (2016)
- To Arizona: Daniel Cleary, 7th (2016, 2017, 2018)
