The sixth season rolls into mid June and Waffletown finds themselves in familiar territory. After a decent start in April (16-12), they slid backwards in May (12-16) to a break even point. Twelve games into June, they are off to a better month once again (8-4) and hope to continue the winning ways.
While the offense has been performing well, with a league leading batting average (.289) and on base percentage (.351), they have been less successful in scoring those runners (ranking 4th in runs scored). Of the four batters currently hitting over .300, the most unexpected one is the team leader at this point, Stan Spence, with a .319 average (his lifetime average with the team is .262)
