1913 BORDER LEAGUE

Teams: (all teams located in Michigan except for Windsor)

Mt. Clemens Bathers
Pontiac Indians
Port Huron Independents
Windsor (ONT)
Wyandotte
Ypsilanti

Schedule Characteristics:

SCHEDULE type="ILN_BGY_G45_T6_C_" inter_league="0" balanced_games="1" games_per_team="45" start_month="5" start_day="24" start_day_of_week="7"

Each team plays 45 games. Teams play each other 9 times during the season, and teams play between 20 and 25 home/road games.

Season starts on May 24 and ends on September 14. Thursday games start at 3:00. Saturday, Sunday and holiday (Decoration Day (5/30), Independence Day (7/4), and Labor Day (9/1)) games start at 1:00.

Baseball Reference says that this was a "D" league. From the looks of the schedule, it might have been semi-pro. Apart from its length, the odd thing about this schedule is that The Sporting Life would have even printed it - there aren't a lot of examples of the major baseball publications printing schedules from the lowest rung of the minors, especially for a league with such a short season.
