June 12 - Dick Chisholm (36-R) of Sacramento pitched a 5 hit shutout at Oakland. He walked 3 and struck out 3. It is his 3rd shutout of the season. He is now 3-4 with a 4.43 ERA in 12 starts. The Solons won, 6 to 0.
June 12 - Kevin Houde (27-R) of Detroit pitched a 3 hit shutout at Cincinnati. He walked 3 and struck out 5. It is his 2nd shutout of the season. He is now 9-2 with 1.45 ERA in 15 starts. The Tigers won, 3 to 0.
