Walkers news: August 27: St. Louis 8, Chicago 6
Tied at 6 in the top of the ninth inning, Alex Bregman connected on a no-out double off Chicago relief pitcher Michael Feliz to score Rhys Hoskins and Michael Conforto and help give St. Louis an 8-6 win over the G-Men in Chicago.
The River Walkers scored four times in the top of the first, only to see Chicago get two-run homers from Joc Pederson in the bottom of the first and Josh Donaldson in the third to tie it.
Chicago later took a 6-5 lead, only to have St. Louis tie it in the top of the seventh on a two-out double from Bregman off Giovanny Gallegos.
Bregman was 3 for 5 in the game with three doubles and four RBIs.
The G-Men threatned in the bottom of the ninth putting a pair of runners on with two outs. But Sean Doolittle came on to strike out Shohei Ohtani, the only batter he faced, to end it.
