The NCAA is going to use a
new metric in judging trams for the tourney. RPI, gone. Giving higher weight to the last 10? Gone. I hope this metric starts forcing teams like dook & 'cuse to play credible teams on the road OOC.
What I don't like is that it caps the margin of victory @10. A team can dominate another for 35 minutes & then give up a bunch of meaningless garbage points to narrow the margin to under 20. Or a game can be tight til the last minute spreads the final from one possession to double digits. An 11pt "tighter than it looked" result shouldn't get the same weight as a "not even that close" 18 pt final.
