April 29 - CF Duane Bailey (28-R) of Salt Lake City had 2 hits with a home run and 5 RBI at home versus Kansas City. The Bees won, 8 to 2.
April 29 - Rookie Ernesto Maduro (23-L) of Washington pitched a 4 hit shutout at home versus Toronto. He walked 2 and struck out 4. The Nationals won, 2 to 0, and only had 5 hits themselves.
April 30 - LF Enrique Ramos (24-L) of New York had 4 hits with a double and 2 home runs and 6 RBI at Boston, but the Giants lost, 11 to 8. Rookie 3B Harvey Sanberg (24-R) had 3 hits with a home run and a walk, scored 3 runs and had 5 RBI for the Braves. Boston has won 10 games in a row.
May 1 - 3B Alex Garrido (26-L) of Cleveland had 4 hits, stole a base, scored 4 runs and had an RBI at St. Louis. The Indians won, 10 to 7.
May 2 - Miami won at Cincinnati, 7 to 5, in 17 innings. Rookie Ron Fisher (25-R) won the game with 5 innings of 1 hit, shutout relief.
May 3 - Gustavo Cisneros (28-L) of Boston pitched a 5 hit shutout at Toronto. He walked 5 and struck out 3. He is now 1-0 with a 5.79 ERa in 4 starts. The Braves won, 6 to 0, for their 12th win in a row.
May 4 - LF Kevin McKinney (22-R) of Denver had 5 hits and scored a run at Salt Lake City. The Bears won, 8 to 5, in 11 innings.
May 4 - LF Clay Laurence (23-R) of San Francisco went 4 for 4 with a triple and a home run and 4 RBI at home versus Oakland. The Seals won, 9 to 4.
