Walkers news: May 21 -- Kansas City 5, St. Louis 2

Record: 25-13, 1st, 0.5 GA Springfield
Tim Anderson hit a three-run home run off St. Louis reliever John Curtiss in the top of the seventh inning to help give Kansas City a 5-2 win at Busch Stadium (1997).
The victory allowed the Pit Masters to salvage the finale of the three-game series after dropping the first two.
Jayson Gonzalez opened the top of the seventh with a single off River Walkers starter Adonis Medina.
Yasmani Grandal followed with a double, putting base runners at second and third.
That was when Curtiss got the call.
Two pitches later, with a 1-1 count, the Masters were in command as Anderson drove the ball 419 feet over the wall in left-center field.
Tied 1-1, both teams had scored in the sixth inning.
Josh Shuler had doubled off Medina and scored on a Yordan Alvarez single.
In the bottom of the inning, Carlos Vidal hit a home run off Masters starter Trevor Oaks.
Oaks (2-3) would go seven innings, allowing two runs on six hits. He struck out one but walked just one.
Austin Hansen struck out two of the three batters he faced in the eighth.
Kyle Nelson handled the ninth and came out of it with his fourth save.
